The main task of the department is to render surgical service to patients with coronary heart disease and complications. The department has 2 cardiosurgery teams, 4 cardiologists, 2 doctors-perfusionists
и 22 persons of paramedical personnel. Nearly 500-600 surgeries are carried out in the department.
Kinds of Surgeries
Transluminal balloon angioplasty of coronary arteries (TBACA);
TBACA combined with stenting of coronary arteries;
Coronary artery bypass graft in terms of artificial circulation (AC) including that with use of autoarterial conduits (internal thoracic artery, radial, inferior mesenteric, ventricular-omentocele arteries);
Coronary artery bypass graft with use of mini-invasive methods and approaches (MICABG - mini-invasive coronary artery bypass graft );
Coronary artery bypass graft without artificial circulation;
Use of endoscopic technique for extrusion of internal thoracic artery and ventricular-omentocele artery; use of special retractors and myocardium stabilizers).
Combined operations in terms of artificial circulation:
CABG + ventricular septal defect plastics;
АКШ + different aortoventriculoplasty (aneurism excision, aneurismoraphy, intraventricular plastics after DOROU-JATONE );
CABG + MC plastics (sutural plastics of fibrous ring after Alfieri, Rodovanovich, sectoral cusp excision, restoration of chordal apparatus of mitral valve, use of Karpantier rim);
CABG + MC or AC prosthetics using mechanical or biological prothesis.
The department plans annually about conduction of 500-600 surgery interventions.
